All this takes place when Santa awakes one morning and goes out to the Reindeer Barn and finds his trusty reindeer are gone. But his shock was not over with yet. In each stall where his famous reindeer once was, he found a pig and on the door of each stall was a lot of silly names that only pigs would want to be called. If these pigs were not fast learners, the children of the world would not have a Christmas that year. But a lot of training and a determined Santa, meant that people around the world saw the most unusual sight they had ever seen on Christmas Eve: Santa and his sleigh gracefully gliding across the sky, with eight pigs pulling the sleigh. But those who heard Santa shout encouragement to his sleigh-pulling pigs were surprised when he shouted out: Now Pork Chop, Now Fat Back, Now Bacon and Pinky. On Patty Cake, On Piggy, On Ham Bone And Stinky.

about
Patsy Trigg is best known as the prettier half of the duo that recorded the #1 Gold and Platinum Hit Christmas song "Grandma Got Run Over by A Reindeer." Grandma was recorded and released in 1979. In 1983 Grandma took over the #1 spot in Billboard Magazine and remained there for five years running placing Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" second. Grandma has never dropped out of the top ten since she first debuted. Grandma went RIAA Gold in 1989 and then received her first RIAA Platinum Certification February 15, 1997. If in 1979 you missed the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of Patsy's 'Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer", you may not want to miss this opportunity. When a Christmas song, long before Christmas, gets this kind of attention there is a reason. Patsy Trigg's newest project, though in its early stages, just may be headed for Smashville. After all, Patsy is not referred to as: "Queen of the Christmas Music Scene", without justification.
Two weeks before Christmas Santa walked out to the barn
As soon as he opened the door he shouted with great alarm
Someone has taken my reindeer, not a single one in sight
Without my trusted reindeer, there’ll be no Christmas Eve night
But Santa got another shock he found a pig in every stall
On each door was a funny name made Santa laugh after all
I’ll be the laughing stock of Christmas there can be no doubt
Such silly silly funny names, funny names I dare not shout
First Chorus
Pork Chop, Fat Back, Bacon and Pinky Patty Cake, Piggy, Ham bone, Stinky
It’s a merry Christmas when pigs fly
It’s a merry, merry Christmas when they sail the winter sky
All dreams can come true if you really, really try
It’s a merry Christmas when pigs fly
(It’s a merry Christmas when pigs fly)
Santa saw what must be done, the children can’t go lacking
So he hooked up each little pig said, come on we must get cracking
Daily practice made them perfect, Santa shouted with Glee
Christmas Eve everyone will see how smart pigs can be
Santa said tenderly, you pigs taught me to believe
The pigs flew like eagles; they flew high up over the trees
The people who looked up that night saw eight pigs pulling the sleigh
The entire world got a shock that night, when they heard Santa say
Final Chorus
Now Pork Chop, Now Fat Back, Now Bacon and Pinky
On Patty Cake, on Piggy, on Ham bone, on Stinky
It’s a merry Christmas when pigs fly
It’s a merry merry Christmas when they sail the winter sky
All dreams can come true if you really, really try
It’s a merry Christmas when pigs fly
(It’s a merry Christmas when pigs fly)
